Vine Mealy Bug Research Project

In February 2006, the Associated Press distributed a story about our research project to train dogs to detect via scent the vine mealy bug, a devastating pest, in grape vineyards. Numerous newspapers picked up the AP story, and we received many media inquiries in response. Santa Rosa Press Democrat (February 26, 2006), Santa Rosa Press Democrat (May 27, 2006), and Napa Valley Register ran follow-up stories.
